McKenna's First Birthday Party

This is the invitation that my Mommy made for my very first birthday party!

 

The details.

 

The party scene before the guests arrived.

Mommy & Auntie decorated everything with silver stars and pretty butterflies. They made it just like a pixie land.

 

This was one of the pretty butterflies.

 

There was a game to see who could find this mischievous pixie.

 

She was hiding in the woods.

Paul found her and he won a big bouncing ball with stars on it. He gave it to my friend Aidan.

My first present of the day! A rocking chair from Grandma & Tony!

 

Mommy's friend Susan made this for my baby shower. Mommy filled it with pictures of me!

 

Here are magic wands that Mommy made for the guests.

 

These are the table centerpieces. They are jewels (jelly beans) and pebbles (m&ms).

The other table had gems (skittles) and magic wand cookies.

 

Mommy also made these goodie bags for my friends. They had star sunglasses,

bubbles, pixie stix, candy necklaces, jolly ranchers, starbursts, and a pack of pixie dust from ME!

 

These are the magic wand cookies that Mommy made.

 

And here is the cake that Mommy made just for me to have all to myself!

(But don't let Mommy fool you. She didn't do all the work for the party.

My Daddy, Auntie & Uncle and my Grandmas and Grandpas were on the party team too! It was a wonderful day because

so many people loved me enough to work so hard on my party!)

Mommy said I get to keep the Care Bear toys! Yay! I LOVE turning "one"!

And here I am with my Auntie. I wanted her to hold me for the whole party.

But Mommy said I had to circulate. Whatever that means.

 

Gramps, Cheryl and Britney arrived with a whole wagon full of presents!

Hey? Where's Breona and Shirley? I miss them!

 

Mommy and my cousin Luke. She probably just got finished smothering him in kissies.

 

Here I am playing with some of the girls from my party.

We didn't get a lot of pictures of the guests but I had lots of kids and babies to play with. It was super fun!

 

This is Aidan. He gave me kissies and played nice. I like him.

 

Lukey says "Daddy, I ate all my peas. Can I have cake now too?"

I'm saving room for cake.

 

Finally! Present time! I got so many wonderful things! Clothes, books, money, blocks, dolls, movies, a wagon, a Dora chair, a

rocking chair, and an inflatable ball house! Wow! A lot of people sure do love me!

 

In my new wagon and asking Daddy to put my Dora chair in it with me.

 

This book was one of my favorite presents.

 

While Mommy tried to light the candle, I grabbed some frosting.

 

Everyone sang to me. It was pretty good. Mommy was off-key.

No worries. That cake didn't daunt me a bit.

 

It was pretty yummy.

 

Mommy & Daddy both asked for a bite. I said no.

 

I shoveled cake in by the handful.

 

Don't judge me.

 

I can't believe they're letting me have as much as I want.

 

Look how much I ate!!

 

Mommy & Auntie took me to the bathroom and rinsed me off.

Auntie put me in one of my new outfits.

 

I'm so glad that Paul came to see me on my birthday!

Good thing he found that mischievous pixie!!

My birthday was a wonderful day!
